May 1

Deputy Comeaux, terroristic threat, Holly Lake Ranch; caller’s dog went into neighbor’s yard, neighbor threatened to shoot it, caller confronted neighbor who threatened to shoot him, neighbor advised he threatened to shoot dog if it came back on his property but did not threaten caller.

Deputy Haley, criminal trespass, Private Road 5551; caller allowed female to come to residence, left her vehicle in yard. Due to caller allowing female over, criminal trespass warning void, new one must be issued.

Cpl. Rapp, threats; caller received threatening letters, deputies previously responded to threats by mail in this area, case added to the previous ones.

May 2 

Sgt. Cox, Cpl. Rapp, Deputy George, disturbance, Alba; female refused to get out of vehicle, locked her doors. Christy Melton arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest.

Deputy Nichols, hit and run, CR 2169; caller had someone move trailer, trailer jack knifed, caused damage. Deputy contacted possible suspect who advised trailer damaged prior to being moved. Caller wanted to report someone stole tin from him. Deputy contacted that possible suspect who advised he did not take the tin.

Deputies assisted Hawkins PD with pursuit that ended in Mineola. Cpl. Smith transported driver to jail where Hawkins PD finished book in.

Deputy Haley, criminal mischief, FM 69; victim advised daughter’s boyfriend became upset, knocked out window, offense report completed.

May 3

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Cato, welfare check, CR 4583; Andrews Center advised female subject made statements that she wanted to harm people, then left their facility, deputies located subject, transported to receive treatment.

Deputies, neighbor dispute, FM 2869; caller arguing with neighbor over property line, parked vehicle in driveway, neighbor began hitting vehicle, blocked it in, no damage observed to vehicle, parties advised to contact civil court.

Deputy Rich approached by civilian with concerns about juvenile, advised daughter ran away from home after argument, might be suicidal. Deputies located juvenile who advised she was not suicidal.

May 4

Cpl. Croney, shots fired, Alba; female subject advised as she was moving pistol in vehicle, accidentally shot boyfriend, victim transported by EMS.

Deputy Whisenhunt, reckless driver, Hwy. 69; deputy located vehicle in ditch, discovered driver having medical episode, transported by EMS.

Deputy Cato, suspicious vehicle, FM 2869; subject in vehicle parked near driveway, having hard time staying awake. EMS contacted, determined driver was sleep deprived. Deputies later received call of reckless driver, located vehicle. With state trooper’s assistance, standard field sobriety tests completed, driver found to be intoxicated. Benjamin Sablah arrested for DWI.

Deputy Rich, burglary, FM 1795; someone entered barns, took multiple items, caller wished to have incident documented.

Deputy Rich, theft, Hwy. 11; store manager advised when registers went down, customer walked out with large number of items, subject was confronted, returned  items to store, offense report completed. 

Cpl. Burdick, suspicious person, FM 312; Jerden Cameron found to have active warrant, placed in custody.

May 5

Cpl. Croney, DPS trooper, agency assist, Hwy. 37; caller observed alligator in ditch near church, deputies located alligator, kept it secure until game warden arrived.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, suspicious person, FM 1801; homeowner advised people were in house, he shot at them. Due to subject saying he would continue to shoot at subjects in house, transported to receive treatment.

Cpl. Burdick, disturbance, CR 2171; witness advised couple got into argument that turned physical. Deputies located male subject who advised he received scratches from work, did not want to give statement.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, burglary, FM 69; suspect took window off bedroom, broke into house, assaulted both victims, offense report completed.

May 6

Sgt. Cox, false drug test, Adult Probation; subject found with fake urine kit. Bennie Wasson arrested for falsification of drug test.

Deputy Skinner, warrant service, Adult Probation. Cheryl Rogers arrested for outstanding warrant.

Cpl. Rapp, vehicle fire, FM 852; vehicle owner just returned from filling up vehicle, not aware of any mechanical issues, fire marshal notified.

Deputy Comeaux, assault, CR 2950; victim got into altercation with girlfriend, she threw knives at him, suspect caused scratches to his face and hands, offense report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Haley, disturbance, Alba; during altercation, victim’s ex-boyfriend grabbed her by the throat, pushed her against wall. After speaking with witnesses and both parties having conflicting stories, case forwarded to Alba PD for further investigation.

May 7

Deputy Skinner, assault, Hawkins; Hawkins PD advised assault occurred in the county, victim advised assault occurred at residence in Hawkins, continued in vehicle into another county, supplemental report completed, forwarded to Hawkins PD.

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Way, possible overdose, CR 2166; caller stated nephew took too many pills, overdosed, subject alert, did not want to go with EMS. Deputies learned caller trying to remove nephew from residence.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, unwanted subject, CR 4150; property let male stay at house, subject not wanting to leave, advised he did not have anywhere else to go, waiting for morning to get employment check.
