Memorial services for Olan Horn, Jr., 61, Quitman, are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Saturday September14, 2013 at Country Fellowship of Wood County Church (former Asmussen and Lybrand Funeral Home.)

Mr. Horn passed away July 24, 2013 in Quitman.

He was born April 20, 1952 in Waco, TX.

Survivors include his wife, Lenore Horn of Quitman, Sons and daughter-in-law, Ray Whiddon of Yantis, and John and Kelly Whiddon of Quitman, brother, John Horn of Texarkana, sisters Patricia Stinson of Waco, and Debra Jones of Quitman, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
