Yantis OAP advances
The Yantis One Act Play advanced to the next round in UIL competition.
The play advanced from bi-district at Paris Junior College along with Bloomburg and Miller Grove. Their next contest will be at Grayson College in Denison on April 1.
Director Mike Moore said the group will be doing a fundraiser this month. “We are also planning a dinner theater fundraiser at the Yantis school cafetorium on March 30. We are planning on serving fried chicken dinners (it’s a thematic menu with the play) at 6 p.m. and performing our play `Digging Up the Boys’ at 7 p.m.”
Dinner and admission are by donation and all proceeds will go towards costs of OAP competition. The playwright Laura Lundgren Smith may also be there to discuss the play.
