County declines ARP funds for hospital

Lake Fork level to remain low

The water level at Lake Fork Reservoir was lowered to an elevation around 397 feet to make repairs and further assess the Lake Fork Dam. Underwater inspections were conducted which identified additional areas that are also in need of repair. more

Early voting begins next week for primaries

Early voting in the spring party primaries gets underway Monday, Feb. 14 in the Wood County elections office in Quitman.

The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with Saturday voting on the 19th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. more
