MISD board approves state waiver during testing for hybrid remote learning days

Mineola High School plans to try something different during upcoming standardized testing.

Principal Mike Sorenson asked the school board to approve a waiver from the Texas Education Agency that will allow the district to use distance learning for students who are not engaged in testing on particular days. more

Foundation rewards Mineola teachers with classroom grants

Drums beat, cheerleaders cheered, adults wielded silly string and big checks were awarded as the Mineola ISD Education Foundation prize patrol made the rounds of the four district campuses Thursday morning.

They bore a stack of big checks representing education grants totaling $32,200 as the proceeds from the foundation’s fundraising activities. more
