Troop 385 held its final Eagle Scout ceremony in Mineola recently. Tristan Wells and Jackson Wiley were presented their Eagle Awards, assisted by Matthew Patterson, who also recently earned his Eagle. The three are Mineola High School classmates and graduated last week. The troop has disbanded primarily due to lack of interest, marking the end of the Scouting program in Wood County. Its primary activity for the past year has been to allow the remainig Eagle candidates to complete their journey and earn one of Scouting's highest honors, accomplsihed by only a small percentage of Scouts.
