Ann A. Searcy 1943-2024

Posted

On Aug. 28, 2024, our dearest mother, grandmother (Ninnie), great-grandmother and friend was relieved of all worldly pain and taken home to be with our heavenly Father.

Ann A. Searcy was born Feb. 22, 1943 in Mineola to Thomas Edward Albright and Elizabeth Louise Albright. Ann grew up between Dallas and Mineola, as her father was a superintendent for Texas & Pacific Railway. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. In the fall of 1962, she met the love of her life, Arthur O. Searcy Jr. They married in the spring of 1963. Their life together included many states, a few kids and lots of grandchildren. For as much as they moved in their early marriage, they settled into their true home of the past 30+ years in the Piney Woods of East Texas. The same home where Ann took her last breaths with family by her side on Aug. 28, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Edward Albright Jr. She is surely celebrating in heaven with them and many other friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur O. Searcy Jr.; daughter, Janet Miller; sons, Todd Searcy and wife Laurie and Josh Searcy and wife Krysta; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. We celebrate her beautiful life, the joyful memories we all share with her and her strong devotion to family that she instilled in us all.

Memorial services will be scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.

The family would like to thank caregiver Kim Privett and the staff at Christus Good Shepherd – Longview, Buckner Westminster Place and with Chambers Hospice for the loving care that was given to our Ninnie.
