Becky Fay Johnston 1952-2020

Becky Fay Johnston, 68, of Lindale passed away Oct. 8, 2020 at the Mineola Heights Health Care Center in Mineola. She was born Jan. 25, 1952 in Belton to late William Elmer Halfaker and Eula Faye Tutor. Becky was a bright light to everyone she met and especially her family. Always there to listen when you needed her and never judged you no matter what. She loved to camp, be outdoors and the ocean. She loved the Lord and was an ordained minister. She was a beautician. Becky was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Harvell; sister, Gloria Harvell; and nephew, Jason Halfaker. She is survived by her husband, Rob Johnston of Lindale; sons, Joshua Robinson and Mindy of Mineola and John Brewer of Houston; daughter, Andrea Brewer of Houston; step-daughter, Ashley Johnston; granddaughter, Clowie Robinson; step-grandchildren, Brianna and Cade Johnston; brother Danny Halfaker and wife Marsha of Wills Point; sister, Jeanna Halfaker of Mineola; 11 nephews and nieces; and many great nephews and nieces and will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be held at the Mineola Civic Center (Dogwood Room) Oct. 24, 2020 at 11 a.m.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
