Betty McCormack Finley  1942-2022

Betty McCormack Finley, 80, was welcomed into her heavenly home on June 16, 2022. She was born on June 9, 1942 in Grand Saline to the late Henry Lawerence McCormack and Beulah Young McCormack.  Betty married her husband of 56 years, Tom Finley, on June 11, 1966. They had two children, raising their family in Grand Prairie before retiring to Mineola in 1997.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James McCormack. She is survived by sister, Faye Griffin; brother, Jimmy McCormack; and many nieces and nephews. Betty leaves behind her devoted husband of 56 years, Thomas Burton Finely of Mineola; son, Stephen Finley and his wife Jaime of Mineola; and daughter, Leslie Bloodworth and husband Daniel. The sunshine of her life were her eight beloved grandchildren, Evan Finely and wife Hannah, Ashley Foster and husband Devon, Alyssa Finley, Aaron Bloodworth, Devon Bloodworth, Madison Bloodworth, Gracie Finley and Cooper Finley; and two great-grandchildren, Gruner Finley and Arrow Finley.

Visitation was held Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.  Funeral service was held Monday, June 20, 2022 at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Ministry Center, Mineola.
