Blood drives scheduled in county cities

Quitman Rotary Club will host a blood drive with Carter BloodCare on Wednesday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. At the Quitman First United Methodist Church, 406 Lane St.

Donors will receive a cooler bag as a thank you.

Photo ID is required. Donors may register at carterbloodcare.org.

A drive is also planned Friday, May 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart in Mineola.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
