Bobby Jack Wheatley 1940-2024

Bobby Jack Wheatley, 83, of Alba passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024 in Dallas. He was born Sept. 18, 1940 in Waxahachie to Jackson Anderson and Nolie Opal Jenkins Wheatley.

Bobby moved to the Alba area from Lancaster 20 years ago. He worked for Lockheed Martin as a mechanical engineer testing rockets for 43 years before retiring. He also worked as a police officer for the city of Lancaster for over 20 years. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rhonda Joslin Wheatley.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Mohr and husband Michael of Alba; granddaughter, Rachael Mohr; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will have a celebration of life honoring Bobby at a later date.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
