Buddy Frank Bradshaw, 78, of Fairfield passed away peacefully at his residence on June 2, 2024. Born on March 16, 1946 in Winnsboro, Buddy was the cherished son of AJ “Buddy” Bradshaw and Lexie Russom Bradshaw.

Buddy is survived by his significant other, Cheryl Mullen, and his loving daughters Amanda Westlake and husband Brad, and Jennifer Paredez and significant other Danny Mills. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Joyce Davis, and his treasured grandchildren: Aliana Paredez, Christian Paredez, Landon Westlake and Memphis Westlake. His legacy continues to his extended family of Andrea Mullen Hammack and husband Dan, John Mullen, Makenzie Mullen, Kaliyah Watkins, Demarcus Hayes and Zaleyah Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Lexie Bradshaw, and his brother, A.J. Bradshaw.

Buddy learned from his father at a young age how to operate heavy equipment and grew this passion through his life, working as a dragline operator and foreman for Texas Utilities, owning his own business and eventually retiring from Russell & Sons in Fairfield.

Buddy enjoyed several hobbies throughout his life including woodworking and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was driving and exploring country roads.

Buddy was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the 4th Infantry Division where he was honored with two Purple Hearts and an Army Commendation Medal. He was also a Mason and a lifetime member of VFW Post #3992 and the American Legion, reflecting his deep sense of community and patriotism.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services scheduled for Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro.

Buddy Frank Bradshaw will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for life, family and community will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
