Church schedules annual festival

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Emory is hosting its 2nd annual Multicultural Festival. Funds will be used for the building of our new church on FM 515.

The festival is Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

There will be lots of great food, vendors, games for the kids and fantastic raffle prizes, valued at over $11,000.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
