Civic center hosts mothers, sons

The Mineola Civic Center will host a mother and son night Saturday, April 22 from 5-7 p.m.

It is for boys ages 3 to 5th grade with their mom or stand-in.

“An Old School Picnic” will be held at the Peggy and Jack Jones Pavilion.

Cost is $25 for couple with $5 for each additional son.

Ticket deadline is April 20 and may be purchased online, in person or by mail (PO Box 384, Mineola TX 75773).

Rain rescheduled date is May 13.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
