A story in last week’s Monitor about the Quitman Development Corporation board meeting incorrectly stated that Quitman’s Hometown Christmas is moving to Nov. 28. Hometown Christmas will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, at Gov. Jim Hogg City Park.
Nov. 28 is the date of the new Light Up Quitman event in downtown Quitman. The event will include the downtown lighting ceremony, which in previous years was held on Thanksgiving Day.
