Thousands of collectible comic books and trading cards will be for sale at the first Mineola Comic Market, Saturday June 8 at the Annex, 119 N. Johnson Street.

The  Market will run from 10am-5pm, with admission free to the public. Several comic dealers will be on-site to buy, sell and trade comic books and related collectibles. Free comics will also be available to children 12 and under.

“We really wanted to put on a true comic book show,” Market organizer Kevin McCarley said. “We want this to be a family-friendly environment that celebrates comic books and offers something to everyone.”

McCarley added that all dealers are knowledgeable and reputable with years of experience buying and selling from the public.

“The Mineola Comic Market is the first ever comic show in Mineola,” McCarley said. “I feel East Texas has a lot of interest in comic collecting, and we wanted to fill a much-needed gap in true comic shows in the area.”
