Commissioners to discuss constable vacancy
Wood County commissioners will hold a workshop on Friday at 8:30 a.m. to discuss procedures for declaring and filling a vacancy in the office of constable in Precinct Two, and to discuss calling a special election to fill the unexpired term.
Constable Bobby Tucker submitted his resignation on Friday, Sept. 26 to County Judge Kevin White, effective Oct. 10.
Tucker was elected last November and took office for a four-year term on Jan. 1.
