Mineola City Council approved the bid to pave Park Central for $927,186 Monday.
The road will connect Bromberg with the new Park Central housing subdivision.
The council also reviewed a plan to pay for the project with tax notes, along with funding two new fire trucks.
Total financing of the three projects is $2,855,000.
The fire department has already placed the order for the new pumper-tanker, expected to be delivered in about two years.
Fire Marshal David Madsen said it will be a few months before the department is ready to order a ladder truck.
