County historical commission sets old school event

A program on the common schools of Wood County will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Quitman Public Library from 2-4 p.m.
The schools were in operation from 1884-1965, and commission members have been researching this period. Watch the Monitor for articles concerning the schools and this effort.
