Coy Grant Gilbreath, 2013-2021

Coy Grant Gilbreath died March 4, 2021. He was born Aug. 14, 2013 in Sulphur Springs and resided in Quitman. Funeral was held on Monday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at the Quitman Youth Foundation baseball fields. Visitation was held Sunday, March 7, from 5-8 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman. Interment followed at Rock Hill Cemetery. 

Coy attended Quitman Elementary School and enjoyed basketball, football, baseball, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his brother Cash. Coy was a loving soul who touched the lives of many throughout his young journey and was known for his outgoing personality and sweet smile. People could always count on Coy for a hug and an “I love you”. 

Coy was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Billy Frank and Mary Gilbreath, Jessie Martin Jr., Wilson M. and Thadis Hudnall, and George and Edna Vandergriff; and grandfather, Ronnie Moreland.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Todd and Manda Gilbreath of Quitman and Wendy Gilbreath of Quitman; one brother, Cash Gilbreath, and two sisters, Hannah Gilbreath and Jaycee Whitehead; grandparents, Greg and Becky Gilbreath of Quitman, Lonnie and Linda Hudnall of Sulphur Springs and David and Terri Click of Mineola; great-grandparents, Latrece Martin of Edgewood and Tim and Linda Phillips of Holly Lake; great aunt, Vicki Clanton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and classmates.

Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Hunt, Cody Gilbreath, Justin Lawson, David Spindle, Richard Spears and Dustin Clanton.
