DA donates $10k to Child Advocacy
Wood County District Attorney Ange Albers and her staff are shown with a $10,223 check to be donated to the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center. The funds were raised during the 2nd Annual First Responders softball tournament held in October in Quitman, sponsored by the DA’s office and UT Health-Quitman. The event attracted nine teams and 126 players. The advocacy center opened in 1998 near Winnsboro and has served almost 10,000 client children.
