Daddy-daughter dance upcoming

The Mineola Civic Center hosts its annual father-daughter dance Saturday, April 9 from 7-9 p.m. with the theme, “Butterfly Kisses.”

It is open to girls from age 3 through fifth grade and their father or uncle, grandpa or other special male guest.

Cost is $25 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. Deadline to purchase tickets is March 31 and are available online at mineolaciviccenter.com, in person at 1150 N. Newsom or call 903-569-6115.

Photo packages and stuffed animals will be available for purchase.

The center also plans a mother-son dance in May.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
