District court hears guilty pleas, sets sentences

The following guilty pleas were heard and sentences assessed in 402nd District Court Wednesday, Aug. 8:

Britany Nicole Hill, Mineola, possession of a controlled substance (PCS) penalty group 1/1-B (PG) one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony, deferred adjudication, 10 years community supervision with 160 hours community service, $1,500 fine.

Christopher Dean Cato, Omaha, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree felony, deferred adjudication, five years community supervision with 240 hours community service, $2,000 fine.

Wanda Lou Quinones, Grand Saline, PCS PG 1/1-B less than one gram, state jail felony, deferred adjudication, three years community supervision with 120 hours community service, $1,000 fine.

Randall William Bell, Fargo, N.D., aggravated assault, deferred adjudication, eight years community supervision with 240 hours community service, $5,000 fine; criminal mischief, state jail felony, dismissed.

Christopher Floyd Greer, Gilmer, PCS PG1 less than one gram, state jail felony, two years in state jail suspended for five years community supervision with 120 hours community service, $8,000 fine.

James Alton Tully, Mt. Vernon, PCS PG1/1-B one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony, three years in state prison with 283 days credit for time served.

Jospeh David Simonek, Mineola, theft of property under $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, state jail felony, two years in state jail suspended for five years community supervision with 120 hours community service, $1,500 fines.

Chelsea Remedies, Whitehouse, theft of property under $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, state jail felony, 18 months in state jail with 549 days credit for time served.

Victoria Ann Hunt, Yantis, terroristic threat against public servant, Class A misdemeanor, deferred adjudication, two years community supervision with 24 hours community service, $1,000 fine.

Tonya Denise Quarterman, Oklahoma City, driving while intoxicated third or more,  20 years in state prison with 441 days credit for time served.

Deven Lee Brown, Winnsboro, assault causes bodily injury, one year in county jail, two years community supervision with 80 hours community service, $1,000 fine; duty on striking fixture, dismissed; reckless driving, dismissed.
