Dr. John C. Lee 1954-2023
Dr. John C. Lee, 69, of Mineola died Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2023 with his family by his side. He battled major health issues over the last several years that challenged his body but left his sense of humor and mischievous spirit intact. He was a beloved father, husband and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dr. Lee was born on Oct. 30, 1954, in Houston, where he spent his formative years. He attended Southwest Texas State University, followed by University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry. He moved to Mineola in 1981 where he began his career as a dentist. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.
Dr. Lee is survived by his children, Brant Lee of Mineola, Brian Lee and wife Stephanie of Conroe and Amanda Fall and husband Clint of The Colony; his grandchildren, Brooke Lee, Brighton Lee, Evan Fall, Emma Fall, Easton Fall and Rylan Lee; brother, Joe Lee and wife Angela of Houston; and sister, Jane Carlin and husband Mark of Houston.
A funeral service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Following the funeral service, he will be laid to rest beside the love of his life, Monta Lee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Quitman FFA.
Dr. Lee will be cherished by all who knew him.
