Dueling Pianos benefit Mineola Main St.

Mineola Main Street will offer a program like none other on April 1 on the stage at the Mineola Civic Center.

“Off the Rails” will be brought by Killer Dueling Pianos of Visalia, Calif. This special event during the city’s 150th anniversary year will bring three hours of high energy, crowd interactive music to town, the likes of which normally can be found only in a piano bar in large cities.

All profits from the event will benefit the Main Street program. Guests can tip the dueling piano players to get their song played, and it can be in competition to what the other pianist is playing.

The name is a nod to the previous highly popular Wine Train, which Main Street hosted but is no longer able to due to lack of opportunity. But the Main Street Board is still in the mood for fun with a “derailed” event.

The Killer Dueling Pianos have performed from Anchorage to Barcelona, for dignitaries and corporations including Toyota, Nationwide, the NBA, the PGA, major fundraisers, clubs, weddings and casinos. In 2019, Beverly Hills shut down Rodeo Drive when they headlined a block party with over 5,000 attending.

Sponsorships for the program are available for $1,200 which provides a VIP table for eight, mention in the program, advertising on all the City of Mineola’s social media, and a sign or banner outside Meredith Hall. For $1,000, a VIP table, without the social media advertising and outside sign is also available. Both come with a special chef-prepared dinner, two bottles of wine and early admission for dining before the program begins. A table for eight can also be obtained for $400 and includes admission and refreshments. Additional activities are planned to supplement the fun events of the evening, including a wine pull with some great prizes.
