True love, despite Hallmark, Hollywood, and our interpretation of other people’s stories, doesn’t just “happen.”

It takes hard work. It takes commitment. And most importantly? It takes the hand of God.

This once-in-a-lifetime love will result in a marriage between Mineola citizen Brynna Dawn Williamson, daughter of Peter and Emily Williamson, and Noonday native Gabriel Harrison Breen, son of Timothy and Tammy Breen.

The couple met at a dance two weeks before their graduation from the University of Texas at Tyler. They ended up graduating in the same ceremony, and danced together over the ensuing summer and fall.

The couple attends church together in Garden Valley, where Gabriel occasionally preaches.

Their wedding will be in April 2026.

As a 1925 engagement announcement said, so we repeat now: “May the pathway of this young couple, so admirably fitted for each other, be filled with joy and happiness, and may whatever sorrows come be cleared away by their mutual love.”
