They finished in first or second place at the recent area contest.

FFA leadership teams advance to state
Leadership teams from the Alba-Golden, Mineola, Quitman and Yantis chapters of Future Farmers of America have qualified for state competition.
They finished in first or second place at the recent area contest.
The state contest is being held virtually this year from Dec. 1-5.
Advancing to state are the Mineola ag advocacy team, Quitman ag issues team, Quitman senior skills team, Alba-Golden Greenhand chapter conducting team, Quitman senior chapter conducting team, Yantis FFA broadcast team, Quitman Greenhand quiz team and Alba-Golden senior quiz team.
QUITMAN
Quitman teams include Senior Ag Skills (1st) – Kaiti Kelley, Lucy Brannon and Keeley Glidewell;
Ag Issues (1st) – Lindsey Hornaday, Reagan Hornaday, Lizzy Herring, Rhiana Bradshaw, Kennedi Howle, Sarah Smith and Kathryn Hudman;
Senior Chapter Conducting (2nd) – Kennedi Elmore, Lexie Wilson, Joisalyn Tarno, Mattison Smith, Maddie Fetterolf, Lila Park, Kenley Carr, Kallie Hoover and Kinlee Baker;
Greenhand Quiz (1st) – Christain Adamson (1st individual), Isabel Corbat (18th), Kendall Davis (3rd) and Katy DeGorostiza (7th);
Greenhand Skills (3rd) – Brooke Lee, Larkin Spears and Amanita Bautista;
Radio Broadcasting (5th) – Kaiti Kelley, Lucy Brannon and Brandon Jimenez;
Greenhand Chapter Conducting (6th) – Katy DeGorostiza, Kendall Davis, Daniel Kernes, Averi Ryan, Ashley Pollard, Gabby Chaney, Nicholas O’Neal, Sophia Reynolds and Breanna Bell;
Ag Advocacy (7th) – Brooklyn Marcee, Kameran Farnham, Logan Simpkins, Macy Frazier and Alexis O’ Neal.
ALBA-GOLDEN
Alba-Golden teams include Senior Quiz (2nd) – Bella Crawford (4th individual), Cameron Galyean (11th), Samuel Louderman (21st) and Thai Peterson (5th);
Greenhand Chapter Conducting (2nd) – Will Louderman, Brandt Peterson, Jadyn Bossier, Ava Nivison, Lainey Teel, Landrie Boyd, Ayden Blalock, Cameron Lennon and Garrett Wright;
Senior Chapter Conducting (3rd) – Cade Stovall, Thai Peterson, Bella Crawford, Cameron Galyean, Gracie Teel, Bree Allie Rolen, Samuel Louderman, Seth Converse and Hudson Wright;
Senior Skills – (8th) Nick Hallman, Chandler Lee, Kevin Inman and Alex Reyes.
Elizabeth Crittendon placed 7th in Senior Creed.
MINEOLA
Mineola teams include Ag Advocacy (1st) – Sunni Ruffin, Ava Johnson and Alex Barriga;
Ag Issues (5th) – Hunter vanDover, Valeria Veloz, Mylee Fischer, Kaylie Roberts, Vanessa Veloz, Sydney VanCleave and Lanie Yager;
Junior Skills (4th) – Macy Fischer, Fernel Ventura and Hunter Wernecke;
Senior Skills (6th) – Allison Hooton, Alex Barriga, and Adam Blalock;
Buddy Ruffin placed 4th in Junior Creed, and Adam Blalock placed 7th in Senior Creed.
YANTIS
Yantis teams include Radio Broadcast (2nd) – Keith Kenemore, Emily Worley and Elijah Perry.
Senior Quiz (6th) – Brooke Barrett 10th place individual, Elgin Curry-13th and Camren Lutz.
