FFA student wins stock show award
Carly Williams, an Alba-Golden FFA member who lives in Quitman, was awarded a $500 Calf Scramble purchase certificate at the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. The Calf Scramble, where 20 students compete to catch one of ten calves for the opportunity to win, is done during the stock show’s rodeos. Students who successfully complete the Calf Scramble and exhibit their heifer at the 2027 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo are then eligible to compete for scholarships ranging from $500 to $16,000.
