Final game impacts Mineola seeding
The Mineola varsity Lady Jackets volleyball team defeated Winona last Tuesday and then lost to district champion Harmony in three games on Friday.
The final game of the regular season on Tuesday saw Mineola hosting Chapel Hill trying to get into a second-place tie.
The teams entered the contest with Chapel Hill sitting at 7-2 and Mineola 6-3. Chapel Hill won the previous meeting.
The teams will enter the state playoffs in second and third place, and the order would depend on the results of Tuesday’s game and a possible seeding game should Mineola be the winner.
