Fireworks time
The city of Mineola is resuming its fundraising efforts for the planned July 4 fireworks show at the Mineola Civic Center.
The event was canceled in 2019, and the city decided not to solicit funds last year with so many businesses impacted by the pandemic.
The fundraising goal is $6,000 and will be tracked weekly in the Monitor.
Donations can be dropped off at city hall. Call 903-569-6183 for more information. Donations are tax deductible.
