Mike and Sheila Kerry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2024. They were married at Central Baptist Church in 1974. Mike and Sheila have been long-time residents of Mineola and have known each other since junior high school. They met when Sheila chased Mike around the school building to ask him to the Sadie Hawkins Day Dance. 

They have three children, Callie Wright, Casey Kerry and Nick Kerry and seven grandchildren. Mike owns Kerry Construction and still works as a custom home contractor and in addition for the past 20 years as a luthier building custom Elijah Jewel Guitars. Sheila has supported Mike in his business and has been a homemaker most of those years.
