The following guilty pleas were heard recently and sentences assessed in 402nd District Court:

June 11

Mac Dewayne Ford, Tyler, sexual assault, second degree felony, 20 years in state prison with 583 days credit for time served, $3,000 fine.

June 27

Rickey Joe Scott Jr., Grand Saline, possession of a controlled substance (PCS) penalty group 1 (PG1) one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony, eight years in state prison with 256 days credit for time served, $1,500 fine.

Christopher Peacock, Lake City, PCS PG1 one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony, deferred adjudication, 10 years community supervision with 240 hours community service, $1,500 fine.

Daisy Elizabeth Crocker, Mineola, theft of property $750 to $2,500, Class A misdemeanor, 180 days in county jail with 72 days credit for time served, $500 fine, $1,465 restitution; theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, dismissed.

Raul Carmona, Mineola, driving while intoxicated third or more, third degree felony, five years in state prison suspended for 10 years community supervision with 160 hours community service, $7,500 fine.

Anthony S. French, Lindale, was found guilty by a jury of criminal solicitation of a minor, a third degree felony, and received eight years in state prison, $1,000 fine.

July 8

James Albery Goddard, Hawkins, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree felony, deferred adjudication, six years community supervision, $2,500 fine; violate conditions of bond/protective order, Class A misdemeanor, dismissed.
