Hefner chairing new committee, hosting town hall
The 89th Texas legislative session is only four months away in January 2025.
Rep. Cole Hefner, who represents Wood County, is chairing the new House Select Committee on Securing Texas From Hostile Foreign Organizations.
The first hearing was held on July 24 and is available to watch online. There will be a second hearing announced soon for this coming month, which will be open to public testimony. Those who can’t make this next hearing are welcome to submit comments online. Visitwww.house.texas.gov/committees/committee/446 to do so.
Hefner’s next town hall is in Mount Pleasant at 1709 W. Ferguson on Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 6-8 p.m.
