Iron Horse Square train resuming scheduled trips

The Harry Meredith Special at Iron Horse Square Park in Mineola resumes its schedule of free mini-train rides Saturday.

Rides are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays monthly as well as special events.

The next such special is the following week for Easter on April 16 followed by the May Fiesta on May 7.

The Hobo Special is Sept. 23 from 5-7 p.m. and the Halloween Specials are Oct. 15, 22 and 29 from 6-9 p.m.

The Christmas train is Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 4-7 p.m.

Groups may rent the train for $100 per hour on days the train is not scheduled. Contact Doris Newman at 903-569-6183 one month in advance.
