Funeral services for Jake Smith 28, Prescott, AR, were held April 3, 2014 at Cross Creek Cowboy Church in Smyrna, TX with Rev. Paul Murdock and Rev. Jeff Story officiating. Burial was held at Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, TX. Mr. Smith passed away March 29, 2014. He was born November 13, 1985 in Pittsburg, TX. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his granddad, Graham Wayne Smith and his great grandmother, Marie Stanley (Nanny).

Survivors include his wife Betty Hendrix Smith, Prescott, AR, father Jack Smith and mom Kyla Smith of McLeod, TX, mother Tammy Taylor of Mesquite, his step children, Brendan Peters, Kayla, Kacie and Tristan Hendrix, grandmother Glenda Crook of Quitman, grandmother, Michele Taylor of Mesquite, grandparents, John and Linda Childress of McLeod, TX, brother Hunter Smith of McLeod and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
