James Darrell Hooten 1963-2021

James Darrell Hooten, 57, of Mineola passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 in Tyler. He was born on Oct. 20, 1963 in Dallas to Shelby Hooten and Barbara France Hooten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shelby Hooten, and sister, Shelly Hooten.

James is survived by his mother, Barbara Hooten; son, A.J. Farris; daughters, Lisa Farris and Katie Murphy; brother, Jackie Hooten; sister, Misty Mickelson, and seven grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at Beaty Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Davis conducting. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
