Joan Franzen  1924-2022

Joan Franzen, 97, completed her life journey on Aug. 4, 2022.

She and her husband, Jack, were married for 67 years and had seven children: Jim, Jill, Joe, John, Jerry, Jeff and Julie. They were wed in Coral Gables, Fla. and spent most of their lives in Texas. Joan was a stewardess for PanAm in the 1940s and flew the Miami/Cuba route daily. She was also an avid estate sale shopper, where she always found unique treasures to share and brighten the lives of others. 

Joan was eclectic at heart, with a knack for channeling serendipity at marvelous and opportune moments. She will be remembered for her extraordinary kindness, contagious enthusiasm and talent for brightening the lives of everyone she met by sharing her unique sense of humor and delight. She often expressed her gratitude for family and friends who made her feel so fortunate and loved.
