John Avery Hammack 1950-2024 

John Avery Hammack died at home at 73 years old. He was born to Wayman and Gordon Ann Hammack. He served in Vietnam with the Navy. For over 40 years he was a truck driver with various companies. During that time he also started his own company. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two daughters, Misty and Sammi. He is survived by his wife, Heather; two sisters, Debbie and Vicki; two sons, Robbie and W.R.; and one adopted son, Lester. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

John’s funeral services will be at Victory Church in Scurry at 10:30 a.m. on March 4.
