Laurel has been competing in Cinderella pageants since the age of four and has won many honors, including the Texas State Cinderella title of Miss, which is for 10-12 year olds.

Laurel graduated summa cum laude in three years from Texas Women’s University in Denton with a major in psychology and a minor in child development.

She will be entering TWU’s School of Psychology doctoral program in the fall hoping to have her own practice working with children and teens upon graduating.

During her three years at TWU she was the first selected for TWU’s new stunt team and served as captain for two years. She served as president of the chancellor’s student athlete advisory committee and marketing officer of the honors college.

She was also a part of the student leaders council and a Pioneer service scholar. She will be assistant coach of the stunt team in the fall while traveling Texas for Cinderella. Laurel advances to the Cinderella International pageant in Dallas in July.

The International Cinderella Scholarship pageant was founded in 1976 and is considered to be the largest and most prestigious youth development pageant for girls and young women ages 0-29. It has awarded millions of dollars to young women around the world. The Pilot Club of Mineola was the first in this area to bring the pageant system to Mineola in 1977.
