Joyce Ann Guice 1951 – 2025

Joyce Ann (Barnett) Guice passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, going home to celebrate with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Calvin Barnett and Veneda Joyce Patrick Barnett; her brother, Harold Barnett; and her sister, Charlotte Rivers.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ira Gene Guice; her children, Kimberly Diana Guice and Timothy Shawn Guice; her brother, A.C. Barnett; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild expected in May.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m., at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church #2 in Alba.

John 3:16 and Psalm 23 offer comfort and hope in the promise of eternal life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or another charity supporting children fighting cancer.
