Lady Jackets improve on state relay time
Mineola girls placed 7th at the state track meet Thursday, May 11 in the 1,600-meter relay.
The team of Raylie Peebles, Shylah Kratzmeyer, Tanner Hartzog and Carmen Carrasco combined for a 4:03.83.
Winning time was posted by Shallowater at 3:53.89, the defending champion.
Though Mineola was not able to improve its position from last year, the girls did shave 2.7 seconds off last year’s time. Kratzmeyer and Carrasco also ran on that team.
