Lake Country Symphonic Band plans fall concert

The Lake Country Symphonic Band will present “Musical Musings” in concert Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Select Theater in Mineola.

John Williams’ Theme from “Schindler’s List” (arr. Calvin Custer) will feature cellists Archie Jones and Andrea Holcek. Stephen Oliveras will perform the solo for Ennio Morricone’s “Gabriel’s Oboe” (arr. Robert Longfield).

Under the direction of Mike Holbrook, marches, many moving movements and more musical musings await listeners. Tickets are available from the Lake Country Playhouse.
