Lunch & Learn to showcase overlooked soil nutrient tax deduction for landowners

Many farmers, ranchers, and landowners may be missing out on one of the most overlooked tax deductions available in agriculture. A free Lunch & Learn presentation will introduce attendees to a program that may provide tax deductions ranging from $750 to more than $1,700 per acre based on the nutrient value of their soil.
The educational presentation will be led by James St. Peter, Regional Texas Representative and Boa Safra expert, who will explain how the program works, who may qualify, and what participants can expect throughout the process. The event is designed to provide straightforward information in a relaxed, casual setting, with plenty of time for questions.
The Lunch & Learn will be held Wednesday, July 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Quitman Public Library, located at 202 E. Goode Street in Quitman. A light lunch will be provided.
The event is sponsored by Rich Cavaness, Farm Family Insurance and Boa Safra Representative, and Joe Dodd of Clients First Insurance Agency.
Rich Cavaness recently participated in the program and shared his experience:
“I enrolled in this program in March, and by May I had my soil test results completed. I paid $1,200 for the services and received a $64,000 tax deduction to be used over the next seven years. I live in Quitman, Texas, and my soil nutrient value came back at $2,400 per acre.”
Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to attend. To reserve a seat, call or text 214-924-5693.
