Lyle Jean Foster, 1941-2021

Lyle Jean Foster, 80, of Mineola passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 in Quitman. She was born on Jan. 9, 1941 in Houston to the late Sim L. Speer and Vera Lewis Speer.

Mrs. Foster attended Harvest Acres Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary Foster of Mineola; son, Gary W. Foster of Media, Penn.; daughter, Jeana Louise Foster of Aurora, Colo.; brother, Richard L. Speer of Willanette, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
