The Meredith Foundation in Mineola has awarded 2026 grants totaling $1,367,593 to 16 organizations.

The Mineola Community Chest

All are Mineola-area non-profits, except for the Methodist Children’s Home, which was a special designee of foundation founder Harry Meredith.

Last year, the foundation awarded $1,289,974 to the same 16 groups.

It handed out $1,180,428 in grants to 15 organizations in 2024.

In 2023, the foundation grants totaled $1,414,394 to 15 organizations, with $1,139,515 being given to 14 organizations in 2022, $1,031,897 awarded in 2021 and $1,475,378 awarded in 2020.

The foundation was established in 1958 by Mineola banker Harry Meredith and has contributed more than $40 million to community non-profit organizations.
