The Texas MG Register celebrated the 100th anniversary of the iconic English sports car, holding its fall event in Mineola.

There were 65 autos in town, which were displayed downtown on Saturday morning. The event drew 120 guests to the city for the three-day affair.

Oldest vehicle on display was built in 1930, and two rare 1939 MGTBs were also on hand, built during a short time in 1939 before manufacturing became limited during the war effort.

The gathering marked the second time for the club to meet in Mineola, after first meeting here in 2014 and requesting another event in the city, which cincided with the Mineola sesquicentennial.

Texas has one of the largest MG car clubs in the nation.

Organizer Vic Savelli said the event drew car owners from a wide area including several states.
