MHS Class of ‘74 planning reunion

Posted

The Mineola High School class of 1974 is hosting its 50th class reunion Nov. 1-2, to coincide with the Yellowjackets football homecoming weekend.

A casual tailgating party will be held Friday, Nov. 1, in the parking lot of Meredith Memorial Stadium prior to the football game. On Saturday night, Nov. 2, a catered dinner is planned for former students and teachers at the Addie McFarland Community Center.

The reunion planning committee is trying to locate all 1974 graduates, teachers and alumni who may have moved or left before graduation but still identify with the 1974 class.

If you know someone who qualifies, let them know their classmates want to see them and reconnect.

Registration information for the reunion and updated reunion plans are posted on the Class of 1974’s Facebook page, mhsclassof74.com. Or contact Janet Wilson at Janetwilson@459land.com or 512-750-5483.

The tailgating party will be 5 p.m. at the stadium, 1044 W. Loop 564, Mineola. The all-you-can-eat catfish dinner will be at Addie McFarland Community Center’s gymnasium, 708 S. Stone St. A greet and meet will be held at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

The Class of 1974 reunion planning committee members are Tom Ayers, Lesa Burgess Bauche, Gary Bright, Carlist and Hope Jones Brinkley, Vickie McCalla, Ron Minatrea, Mitchell Tuck, Dan Wesson and Janet Wilson.
