Mineola Education Foundation awards teacher grants March 27
The Mineola Education Foundation awarded teacher grants Friday, March 27 in a Prize Swarm ceremony that brought in students, teachers and board members alike. The board awarded a total of $105,300 to teachers from the Mineola Primary, Intermediate, Middle, and High Schools.
Vice President of Programs and Grants Martha Holmes noted that the grant is “our largest check ever;” according to her, the Mineola Education Foundation is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and, with the recent grant, has surpassed $500,000 given away.
“We love MISD, and want our community to know where their support goes, and how much their support is appreciated by the foundation and also by our district staff and students!” said Holmes. “The MISD Education Foundation could not do what we are able to do without the help of the Mineola community.”
