Mineola ISD seeking input on reopening schools
Parents and staff in Mineola ISD are being asked to complete a survey concerning the reopening of school in the fall.
Superintendent Cody Mize and his leadership team plan to review the survey results Thursday to begin planning for the fall.
Among the questions are whether adjustments to the school calendar are favored, and if they are, options to extend school days or the school year, as well as requiring or offering online learning for struggling students.
The district also wants to know opinions about the start of school, such as staying with the start date of Aug. 13, starting earlier or later or having a phased in opening.
The final question includes choices of on-campus school, virtual/remote learning or removing students from the district for home schooling.
