Mineola Kiwanis Club chili cookoff set Saturday

The 13th annual Mineola Kiwanis Club chili cookoff is Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Mineola Civic Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sampling the chili costs just $5 at the door. The club will have drinks and desserts for sale and desserts for auction.

Award will be given for best chili as selected by celebrity judges, people’s choice for the entry raising the most tips and an award for presentation for the best booth.

All proceeds benefit the children of the community through the service efforts of the club.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
